Patent Attorney, Dorian Cartwright, has over 20 years of experience in providing intellectual property services to hi-tech companies of Silicon Valley and nationwide. He specializes in patent prosecution, primarily in the areas of electrical engineering and computer science.
His experience includes patent prosecution matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and additionally, patent litigation and patent licensing. His technical expertise includes computer architecture, microprocessor architecture, networking, video recognition, software, and digital and analog circuits, among others.
Dorian’s formative experience came as a patent associate for several years at Fenwick & West LLP in Palo Alto, CA and Mountain View, CA. During his time at various law firms, Dorian has represented clients such as Cisco Systems, IBM, Google, Apple and Intuit.
Mr. Cartwright understands technology. He received a J.D. from the University of Iowa Law School. There, Dorian was a member of the Iowa Law Journal and an assistant to Professor Mark Janis, who teaches patent law courses.
Also, Dorian earned a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. He taught electronics laboratory to undergraduate-level students at North Carolina State University. Mr. Cartwright is admitted to the state bar of California, and is a registered patent attorney before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
